I am 25 years old and have been working with computers for half my life. I am currently pursuing a career in web design in the Orlando area and have built a number of websites from the ground up.

Being in the web design industry, it is very important to be aware of the rate at which technology is changing. What is relevant today will be outdated in a couple years and it is part of my job to learn about the next big jump in technology before the average Joe. I make regular updates to my Blog and will be making posts about the technology, web design, and whatever I find interesting.

I am always looking to learn and become bored when a job becomes too easy or I feel I have mastered a certain task. It is important to challenge yourself and take chances and put yourself on the line in order to improve and weed out flaws and bad practices. You learn more from failure than success.

Short Term Goals

• Continue to develop my knowledge of web programming by develop more websites using ASP.net, Java, and Ruby on Rails.
• Develop more Flash based websites and strengthen my knowledge of ActionScript.
• Become better at writing copy and update a network of blogs on a regular basis.

Long Term Goals

• Work my way up to a position where I am overseeing a few designers directly under me using my creative vision and decision making.
• Improve the SEO placement of my freelance company's website, www.FireNineWebDesign.com, and have it rank in the top two pages of Google for highly competitive keywords such as "Orlando Web Design".
